All parents want a better life for their children. Many just don’t know how to make it happen. They need guidance. Yes! Our Kids Can will deliver that guidance with easy-to-follow, motivational and informative messages delivered three times a week on their smart phones.
Many times, parents who live in such conditions do not encourage their children to seek a college education. They concentrate on taking care of their immediate needs like putting food on the table, paying the rent and such. Day-to-day survival requires them to hold down multiple, low-paying, unfulfilling jobs. Their days are long, leaving little time to spend reading to their children or teaching them about the importance of school.

Because of limited resources, many are convinced their children will never be able to afford college, so they don’t prepare. These children are more likely to become unmotivated, be tardy or skip school, fall behind in class, make lower grades, score poorly in tests, need remedial training or simply drop out of school. Additionally, children in these households have few, sometimes no, role models with college degrees or higher education experience within their circle of friends and acquaintances.
